Here are some gift and wrapping paper ideas that you can use to create magic:

  • If you are making gift and wrapping paper with kids, make sure you use white or brown craft paper.
  • Depending on your child’ age, help him or her with cutting and let the child have fund with all gluing.
  • Use non-toxic materials, especially when children are involved in the creation process.
  • You can create stamping shapes using sponge or potato. Children and adults find it easier to hold on to potatoes than sponges. Use tempura or acrylic paint to create shapes on paper and using a potato will give you cleaner and clearer results. You can cut shapes like stars, hearts, arrows, circles and triangles. Dry the paper overnight before using it to wrap the gifts.
  • You can create a picture paper by using a newspaper and some flower catalogs or comic books. Cut out the pictures and stick it on the newspaper using a glue stick. You can also have a theme for your wrapping paper like animals, cartoon characters, flowers or home images. Allow the stuck pictures to dry and then wrap your gift.
  • You can create a special message paper but make sure you take the size of gift into account before making the paper. Larger gifts will need bigger letters. You can write a special message on the paper using markers or crayons. Write each line in a different color until the paper is completely filled with the message. Make sure you read out the special message on the wrapping paper when presenting the gift to the recipient.
